Panagiotis Saltis (born 20 June 2008 in Karditsa) is a Greek race walker and one of Europe's leading young athletes in the discipline. A member of the Greek national team and the Fokianos Karditsa club, he is the 2025 Balkan champion over 10km and a back-to-back national champion (2024, 2025). In 2024 he finished 6th at the European U18 Championships and set the fastest European 5km time of the year in his category (21:16, Dublin), earning the Greek federation's (SEGAS) award as top male U18 athlete. He is coached by national-team coach Thanasis Deligiannis.

Panagiotis Saltis was born on 20 June 2008 in Karditsa, Greece, and has grown into one of Europe's most promising young race walkers. He took his first athletic steps at the local Fokianos Karditsa club, a school of Greek race walking, and is coached by national-team coach Thanasis Deligiannis. His international breakthrough came in 2024. In July he represented Greece at the European U18 Championships in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, finishing 6th in the 5000m race walk in a personal best of 21:44.72 — despite a judging error that sent him around for an extra lap. In December he won the World Race Walking Tour event at St Anne's Park in Dublin in 21:16, the fastest European 5km time of 2024 in his category and fourth-fastest in the world. The season earned him the Greek federation's (SEGAS) award as top male U18 athlete of 2024. In 2025 he confirmed his status: gold at the Balkan Race Walking Championships in Astros over 10km (45:23), a second consecutive national title in the 5000m race walk (22:13.75, Patra), and a 10km personal best of 43:14 wearing the national vest at the European Race Walking Team Championships in Poděbrady. His personal bests — 20:43 for 5km, 43:14 for 10km and 43:28.03 for 10,000m on the track — place him among the top walkers of his generation internationally. Still a student, he combines school with elite training. His declared goal: the Olympic Games of Los Angeles 2028, where he will be 20 years old.
