Panagiotis Saltis defended his national title. On 22 June 2025 at the Pampeloponnisiako Stadium in Patra, he won the 5000m race walk at the Greek U18 Championships in 22:13.75, taking gold for the second consecutive year.
After the 2024 national title over 5km and the Balkan gold in April, the Patra race made it official: Saltis is the reference point of his generation in Greek race walking.
The title also capped a season in which he wore the national team vest at the European Race Walking Team Championships in Poděbrady, walking a 10km personal best of 43:14 against senior-level international competition.
